The 12-year-old qualified to play in the finals of the Wee Wonders Championships at St Andrews in Scotland after winning her qualifying round at Hoebridge Golf Club in Surrey.
Bannon will now test her skills at the ‘Home of Golf’ on the weekend of August 29th-30th when she will compete in the 11-12 year old girls section.
Reaching the Wee Wonders Final caps a fantastic year for the talented Swindon Premier Golf Academy youngster who has already picked up a host of other titles.
She is the current Tigers Girls’ Club Champion and, earlier this month, won the Super Tigers title at the Deacons Junior Classic Open at Broome Manor Golf Club.
The Broome Manor starlet hopes to turn professional in the future and wants to follow in the footsteps of her favourite players Charley Hull and Paula Creamer.
Joining Bannon at St Andrews for the Wee Wonders Final weekend will be fellow Broome Manor and Swindon Premier Golf Academy members Lewy Hayward and Cillian Roberts.
Looking ahead to the Wee Wonders Final at St Andrews Bannon said: “I am really excited. It’s nerve racking because it is the ‘Home of Golf’.”
